Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, “Talk Talk Korea 2026” will accept submissions from people around the world for approximately two months, from July 27 to Sept. 28. This year’s theme is “My First K-culture Moment.” Participants are invited to recall the exact moments they first encountered and were captivated by Korean culture through creative content reflecting their unique perspectives and experiences.
The contest is divided into four distinct categories: Video, Photo Book, Drawing & Illustration and Writing.
The Video category requires a 30-60-second, full HD video capturing your experiences with Korean culture, which can be submitted in either a Horizontal Video or Vertical Video format. Entries in the Photo Book category must be created using high-resolution images corresponding to the A4 300 dpi standard. For the Drawing & Illustration category, participants can submit either scanned copies of handmade artwork (A4 size or larger) or high-resolution digital graphic files.
The newly introduced Writing category this year consists of three parts: a slogan, a description of the creative intention and a personal anecdote. Participants are required to write and submit a slogan that concisely captures their first encounter with Korean culture, alongside their creative intention and a related personal anecdote.
To participate, contestants must publicly upload their entries to their personal YouTube channels or social media accounts (depending on the category specifications) with the required hashtags for each respective category. Afterward, simply submit the entry’s URL and the application form through the submission page on the website. Further details can be found on the Official Talk Talk Korea Website (www.talktalkkorea.or.kr).
A total of 124 winners will be selected this year, including 44 main prize winners and 80 participation award recipients. First-place winners in each category will receive a Korean travel voucher worth approximately USD 2,000, and the single highest-scoring winner among them will be presented with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award. The winners will be announced on Nov. 5, and the selected winning works will be exhibited offline at HiKR Ground in Korea from Nov. 17 to 22.
