Korea Grand Sale, the nation’s leading shopping festival, kicked off on Dec. 17, 2025, after moving up its opening date.
Its period was also extended from 45 to 68 days, allowing more international visitors to enjoy the festival.
Running through Feb. 22, 2026, the event promotes international tourism to Korea with the participation of private companies in sectors like aviation, accommodations, shopping, food and beverage, experiences and convenience services.
This year's edition has a record number of 1,750 participating companies offering a range of discounts and benefits.
Ten domestic airlines offer promotional discounts of up to 96% off on international flights to Korea.
Hotels have introduced lodging packages combined with various experiences. Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul gives complimentary admission to the Seoul ice rink and integrated palace passes, while Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Namdaemun has prepaid cards for use at the national beauty store chain Olive Young for those booking the Discover K-beauty Package.
Major retailers nationwide including department stores, duty-free shops, discount outlets, hypermarkets and convenience stores have raised their store-specific offers such as gifts based on purchase amount, discount coupons, membership upgrades and free beverage vouchers.
To boost the convenience of foreign shoppers, instant price cuts and cashback benefits of up to 15% are available in partnership with global payment apps such as UnionPay as well as the domestic prepaid card Wowpass.
Interactive programs featuring Korean products are also offered under five themes: food, entertainment, beauty and fashion, wellness, and culture and arts.
